Minalungao National Park

Minalungao National Park, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija

Went here for photo ops only. Stayed here for only about an hour because the water is not that blue as we expected. Locals said that it rained the night before we visit the park.

After the entrance fee of P50, we parked and hired a tour guide. It took us 5 minutes of walking to see this beautiful rock formations. It can be compare to Palawan.

There's a restaurant there, and the hotel is still under construction. I didn't try the zipline because we went there at noon and it was so hot, it's only P50 per ride btw.

Hanging bridge overlooking the park

We hired two local children to guide us and the fee is up to the tourists, we gave them P200 each.

And that's our quick photo ops at Minalungao National Park!

Anvaya Cove

Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club in Morong, Bataan is not generally open to the public, it is a membership community.

This paradise is a two hour trip from Manila so it is a perfect quick getaway from the city.

Beach and Nature Club Pool Complex

We stayed at a two-bedroom Sea Breeze Verandas unit for a perfect weekend getaway. It is raining when we got there so we just stayed and sleep the whole afternoon at the unit. Went to Bamboo cafe for the dinner and enjoyed a quick dip at the pool before heading back to the unit.

View from our 2br room at Sea Breeze Verandas

Finally the sun came up and had our breakfast buffet at the Bamboo Cafe. Foods are great, staffs are very accommodating.

We started the trek overlooking the Wawa Dam while crossing the wooden hanging bridge. We were told that we need to bring a pair gloves since Pamitinan has rock formations that you need to grab. After climbing for 1 1/2 hours, we reached the Pamitinan and Hapunang Banoy junction. There's a shed and sari sari store and it is perfect place to catch your breath. We climbed about an hour to reach the summit. From the junction, the trail gets more steeper and the rocks became sharper.

Gateway Cubao FX to Eastwood Montalban (Php 50.00)
From Montalban, take a tricycle to Wawa Dam (Php 100 per trip)

There will be houses that offers cheap shower for you to freshen up after the climb. There's a resort near the jump off point that allows us to shower for Php 20.00 each.

Fortune Island

White sand beach
This Greece-like island is just in Nasugbu, batangas. There will be resorts that owned by Koreans that offers a boat trip to the island. It cost us Php 3500 but it is good for 10 pax. The boat trip was very bumpy and an hour from the port.

Batangas is always a great idea for a quick adventure. Nasugbu is at least a two-hour drive from Manila so it is always a convenience.

Bumpy ride from Nasugbu Port to Fortune Island
Fortune Island is owned by the former governor of the Batangas, Antonio Leviste. There is so much you can do in the island. You can trek to the lighthouse, visit the Athens-like ruins, enjoy the powdery white sand beach and clear turquoise water, and last but not the list, the cliff jumping!
